Evening Bike Hire On The Camel Trail
Evening Rides on the Camel Trail – 20% Off After 2pm
A Different Way to Experience the Trail
We love the Camel Trail, especially as the afternoon quietens down. The day-trippers head home, the light softens over the estuary, and the trail becomes a more peaceful, personal place.
That's why we offer 20% off all bike hire for evening rides, available every day from 2pm.
Whether you're staying locally or just passing through, an evening ride is a brilliant way to see a different side of one of Cornwall's most beautiful routes — and save a little money while you're at it.
How It Works
Evening hire is available every day from 2pm, with bikes to be returned before dark. Rides are on a first come, first served basis, so no need to book — just turn up, choose your bike and head out onto the trail.
As the only Camel Trail bike hire with direct, traffic-free access to the trail to Padstow, returning your bikes at the end of the evening couldn't be simpler — you ride straight back to us without needing to navigate the main road. It's one less thing to worry about as the light fades, and makes the whole experience feel relaxed from start to finish.
Choice Of Bikes
We have a fantastic range of bikes to suit everyone in the family, from super comfort bikes and tandems to children's bikes and a wide selection of accessibility bikes — and yes, four-legged family members are always welcome too!
Please note: Electric bikes, our wheelchair bike and Ice Trikes are not available for evening hire, as these need to charge and undergo maintenance checks overnight ready for morning hire. We hope you understand — it's all part of making sure every visitor gets the very best experience.
Ideas for Your Evening on the Trail
Not sure how to spend your ride? Here are a few of our favourites:
Dinner in Padstow — Cycle into one of Cornwall's most famous foodie destinations and treat yourself to a well-earned meal. There's no better way to arrive than by bike along a traffic-free trail.
A romantic picnic — Pack a blanket and a bottle and find your own quiet spot along the riverbank or one of the secluded beaches tucked away along the route. Golden hour on the Camel Estuary is hard to beat.
Explore the village — Take your time wandering the streets of Wadebridge or Padstow, pop into the local shops, and get a real feel for life along the trail. You might even make a few friends along the way.
Opening Hours & Late Summer Rides
Our regular opening hours are 9am–5pm, or 9am–4.30pm during the darker winter months.
In summer, we often stay open until 6pm or 7pm, which means you can head out even later and make the most of those long Cornish evenings. If you're thinking of coming along after 5pm, please give us a quick call first to make sure we're still here — we'd hate for you to miss out.
