An Inspiring Day at Limitless Festival
Bernie and Sienna try out the Vanramm side by side trike
Last week, three generations of the Bridge Bike Hire family headed to the Limitless Festival at Pool race track, and what an afternoon it turned out to be! We went along to explore the world of accessibility bikes, and came away completely inspired by what we discovered.
Meeting the Makers
The festival was an incredible opportunity to meet suppliers of accessibility bikes, get hands-on with different models, and see the amazing engineering that goes into making cycling accessible for everyone. But the real magic happened watching people discover bikes that worked for them - seeing those moments of "this could work for me!" was absolutely wonderful.
Never one to hold back - Kelly couldn’t not have a go on this walking bike trike which is soon to be an Olympic sport apparently. The delight on the face of a young lad who tried it was too much to resist. “It was like those dreams where you can run really fast without putting any effort in” said Kelly on her return. What an amazing invention and so much fun, we look forward to seeing the competition!
A Cornish Connection
We were particularly excited to meet a local Cornish company who are doing groundbreaking work in accessibility bike design. Their engineering is incredible, and finding out they're right on our doorstep made the day even more special. There's something brilliant about supporting local innovation, especially when it's solving such important problems.
Sienna tries out the all terrain accessibility trike with motor, it took some persuading her to get off it again!
This partnership also fits perfectly with our sustainability directives - working with a Cornish company means locally sourced bikes with reduced transport miles, supporting our local economy while delivering incredible accessibility solutions. It's the kind of connection that ticks all the boxes!
Exciting Times Ahead
This fantastic opportunity has accelerated our plans more than we could have imagined. We're thrilled to be developing this new relationship and expanding our accessibility bike offering even further. The Limitless Festival has given us connections and inspiration that will help us move faster than we originally planned.
We can't say too much just yet, but we're incredibly grateful for this opportunity and very excited to share our news in a couple of weeks!
The Accessibility Journey Continues
Our mission to become the most accessible bike hire ever is well underway, and days like this remind us why it matters so much. The whole team is buzzing with excitement thinking about even more families being able to enjoy the Camel Trail together.
Watch this space - we can't wait to share what's coming next!
