This Mother's Day, Mum Rides Free on the Camel Trail
This Mother's Day weekend — Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March 2026 — we're doing something a little special at Bridge Bike Hire. Mum's bike hire is completely free. That's right: bring Mum, hire a bike for yourself (or the kids), and her hire is on us.
And if that wasn't enough, everyone else's bike is 20% off too.
We know that a day out on the Camel Trail makes a brilliant Mother's Day gift — and we want to make it as easy as possible for every kind of family to come and enjoy it together.
A Bike for Every Kind of Mum
One of the things we're proudest of at Bridge Bike Hire is that we genuinely do have a bike for everyone. And that's never more true than on Mother's Day.
Mum can glide along independently on one of our super-comfort bikes, designed to make the trail as enjoyable as possible. Or, if you fancy doing this one together, why not hire a tandem and tackle it together? There's nothing quite like the laughter (and the occasional argument about pedalling effort!) that comes with a tandem ride.
If the little ones are coming along, Mum might fancy towing them in a trailer or carrying them in a child seat — or equally, she might be very happy to let you do all the hard work while she rides in style on a trailer trike.
For those who fancy something a bit different, our Ice Trikes are an absolute joy — three wheels, low to the ground, brilliant fun, and a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for grandmas and grandkids alike. Do book these in advance though, as they're always popular.
And for families where Mum needs a little extra support, we're proud to offer our wheelchair-adapted bike — the VanRaam — which allows someone to travel in comfort while you ride alongside. We were recently inspired by Glynn, who brought his mum out for a wonderful day on the trail using exactly this bike. It was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do.
How to Claim the Offer
The offer is a double discount, so here's how it works:
• Hire a minimum of two adult bikes (or two children's bikes), and Mum's is free
• Everyone else's bike gets 20% off
• For connected bikes such as tandems or the wheelchair bike, we'll apply a 50% discount
To book, simply call us and ask for Woody or Jack on 01208 813050. On the day bookings are absolutely fine for standard bikes — but if you'd like a specialist bike such as an Ice Trike, trailer trike, tandem, or wheelchair bike, please do call ahead as soon as possible, as these get reserved quickly.

Direct Access — Right from Our Door
As Cornwall's original Camel Trail bike hire — established right here in Wadebridge in 1983 — we're the only hire company with direct, traffic-free access to the Camel Trail. That means no roads, no faff, no navigating to the trail start: you're on it the moment you leave us.
Helmets, Locks, and a Warm Welcome Included
Every hire at Bridge Bike Hire includes helmets, locks, and a puncture repair kit — all free of charge. The family dog is always welcome too. We pride ourselves on making your visit as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, from the moment you arrive to the moment you head home (via us, thanks to our direct trail access!).
