Pedal Forward This Christmas: Bridge Bike Hire Partners with The Cornwall Bike Project
We're thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership that will help bring the joy of cycling to more families across Cornwall this festive season. Bridge Bike Hire, based on The Camel Trail in Wadebridge, is delighted to be working with The Cornwall Bike Project to make cycling more accessible and affordable for local families.
A Gift That Keeps on Giving
This Christmas, we're asking for donations of unwanted children's bikes to support The Cornwall Bike Project's incredible renovation programme. Whether your little ones have outgrown their bikes or you have an unused bicycle gathering dust in the shed, your donation could bring Christmas joy to a local family.
Drop off your donated bikes at Bridge Bike Hire on The Camel Trail in Wadebridge, and we'll deliver them directly to The Cornwall Bike Project team for their expert renovation work.
Making Christmas More Affordable
Last year, The Cornwall Bike Project helped over 40 families find affordable bikes for Christmas. Their skilled team of staff, volunteers, and students work tirelessly to renovate donated bikes, with around 95% being brought back to life. Any bikes beyond repair are recycled for parts, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
Every renovated bike is fully serviced and safety-checked by Cytech-trained mechanics, with prices ranging from just £10 to £100 – most under £50. That's exceptional value for a quality, safe bike that's ready to ride.
Where to Find Renovated Bikes
Renovated bikes will be available to purchase before Christmas. The Cornwall Bike Project operates from workshops in Camborne and St Austell, and they're currently planning pop-up shops in Par and Camborne during December. We'll keep you updated on exact dates and locations as soon as they're confirmed.

Just the Beginning
This Christmas campaign marks the start of our ongoing partnership with The Cornwall Bike Project. Together, we're committed to making cycling even more accessible across Cornwall, supporting families, and promoting sustainable transport. All profits from bike sales are reinvested back into this lottery-funded community project.
Let's work together to put smiles on children's faces this Christmas while supporting a fantastic local cause. Every donated bike makes a difference!
