Keeping Wadebridge Clean And Tidy

To ensure everyone gets a nice welcome to the Camel Trail when visiting Wadebridge we do regular cleans outside our depot and along the start of the Camel Trail. You may have seen our efforts to keep the roundabout neat, tidy and planted ( we don’t use any weedkiller so it’s a constant battle- any advice to keep those weeds under control is very welcome!)

Well we also use some of our down time to pick up rubbish and do a bit of weeding on the Camel Trail too. It’s just a little something that makes it better for all of us. Right before half term, it was Ollie, Kyran and Harry’s turn to have a go at weeding and rubbish collecting. They did a great job and we really appreciate them getting stuck in.

Next we need to get back on the roundabout again as the weeds are taking over but we will wait till after half term when the traffic is a little calmer.

Please Take Your Rubbish Home With You

We hope you all have a wonderful time on the Camel Trail and please remember to take your rubbish home with you.

Helping Keep Wadebridge Welcoming

If you would like to be part of helping to keep Wadebridge tidy and welcoming you could pick your own little patch that you want to take care of or speak to Rob Moorcroft who works across the town on his own projects including the lovely roundabout at the top of the hill which he kindly looks after in memory of Nigel (co-founder of Bridge Bike Hire) who until his death in 2022 also took care of that space and made sure that it was a nice welcome to the town. It now pays hommage to both cycling and rugby, Nigels two favourite past times.

The Standing Stone Group now also work to maintain the memory benches started by Nigel many years ago. They are a lovely group and have worked hard to improve this popular space and maintain it with planting and gardening.

It’s amazing to live in such a caring and thoughtful community and we wholeheartedly encourage you to get involved however you’d like.
